About

Don’t I know you from somewhere?

I’m an arts manager, assistant director at my alma mater, freelance designer, sometimes educator, always mother and perpetual student.

I always wanted to be a hockey mom until Sarah Palin ruined it. Our little guy was a Little Penguin (thanks, Sid!) in 2010, and since then we’ve had our share of getting up early on weekend mornings for hockey practice. Avi plays on a mite team with SHAHA. I’m a big fan.

I never wanted to be a dance mom, but Avi studies at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, too. It’s good for us both to be well-rounded.

I’m woefully out of practice at writing regularly; my archives may start in 2002 but they end in 2006. And you won’t find them here, at least not right away. I’m slowly adding the least embarrassing ones. You know how that is.

I’m in the process of kicking my butt back into shape. So far it’s working. Don’t jinx it.
